1. Financial assistance from State Military Benevolent Fund
An amount of Rs.8,000/- to Rs.10,000/- from the State Military Benevolent Fund is sanctioned to meet the financial requirements of destitute ex-servicemen as per eligibility criteria.
2. Emergency financial assistance
Emergency financial assistance is provided to ex-servicemen and their dependents on a case-by-case basis. From SMBF, an amount of Rs.50,000/- and Rs.20,000/- is sanctioned respectively by the Chief Minister and the Head of Sainik Welfare department.
3. Medical After Care Grant
A grant of Rs.1,500/- per month for follow-up care for consequent three years is provided from SMBF, to Ex-servicemen suffering from diseases like Tuberculosis and Leprosy, in the absence of medical care grant from Indian Red Cross Society.
4. Top Scorer Grant
Grant of Rs. 3000 for Class 10 and Rs.5000 for Class 12 for the children of ESM who scored A+ and A1 in SSLC and 10+2.
